Abstract

The objective of this study is know the effect of ide poison and formaline in the dried curing of goat skin. This study used 199 goat skins that were devided into seven groups od curing. Each group consisted of 17 goat skins. Those groups were : 3 groups of dried curing by hide poison of 0,1%, 0,3% and 0,5%; 3 groups of dried curing by formaline of 1%, 3% and 5%; and 1 groups of dried curing without any preserevation agent as control. After having stored for about 4 months, those skins then to be analized. Physical and chemical analysis werw carried out to evaluate the quality of the skin. Completely randomized design by Duncan’s test was used to analyze the dta. Based on this statistical analysis we can know that: the effect of hide poson in the dried curing of goat skins was the best. The quality of goat skins that were cured by hide poison was as follows : - the average tensile strength was the highest (886,30 kg/CM2), - the average of stretch was the lowest (14,50%), - the average iof hardness was the highest (201,90 kg/2,54 Cm), - the water content was the lowest (20%), and the damage was the smallest (10%).

Abstract

13 (thirteen) samples of Rubber hospital shetting of various trademark which were taken from manufacturers and markets in Bandung, Yogyakarta and Surabaya, had been tested for the purpose of this research. Quality of rubber hospital sheeting is determined by factors that onsure either the strength or wearm by testing them in accorfance with test method as described in ASTM.It could be found from the test results that : the thickness was 0,406 0,506 mm, breaking strength 54,47 – 77,85 kg/cm2. Elongation ata break 99,8% -147,8%.The rubber hospital sheeting was also subjected to hyfrostatic water resistance test and no leakange was accured.It had good steam strikization, accelerated Aging, phenol and alcohol resistance aw well. INTISARI Dalam penelitian ini telah diuji 13 sample perlak karet untuk rumah sakit dari berbagai merk yang diambil langsung dari pabrik maupun pasaran di darah Bandung, DI Yogyakarta dan Surabaya.Mutu perlak karet untuk rumah sakit ditentukan berdasarkan pada factor-faktor yang menajmin menutut ASTM. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut tebal 0.406 – 0.506 mm, tegangan putus 54.48 77.85 Kg/cm2, pepanjang putus 99.8 – 147,8 %. Pelak karet yang diuji tidak tembus air dalam pengujian hydrostatic water resistance, juga mempunyai ketahanan terhadap sterilisasi uap, ketahanan terhadap penguasangan, ketahanan terhadap ketahanan terhadap alkokol yang baik.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to know the influence of Moisture in the leather to adhesive resistance of glue. The glue used is Aica Aibon, Herferin, Striot 275 and Rokoll Prima DX by dry air, subn light and dryong oven treatmrnt. The result od research the moisture in the leather up to 20% won’t influence the adhesive resistance of the glue, but it will influence the drying time of glue. Adhesive resistance optimum for 4 kinds of glue are between 0.427 0.568 kp/cm2 by pressuring 3 kg/cm2 and pressuring time 15 second

Abstract

Polypropylene is the most important polymer in poliolafine. In this study polypropylene is added with kaolin, in the batch, the varied time used for moulding was 13, 15, 17 19, and 21 minutes, while the temperature and pressure was 190 C, 150 kg/cm2.The porpuse of the varied time used is to detect how for the influence of time to words of hardness and impact resistance of polypropylene prepared for shoe last.It can be found from the result that time does not have influence on the impact resistance of polypylene compound used for shoe last, but the longer the time used the hardness will be decreased.The highest test result of hardness and impact resistance was achived by polypropylene compound which was moulded in 13 minutes (75,53 shore D, 2,5831 kg cm/cm).

Abstract

Took 10 pieces salted goat skins which same quality, cut in 20 sides follow the back bone line devided into 5 groups, each group consist 4 sides. All this sample be processed to crust leather accorfing to IRDLAI procedure. In tbating processing the substitute for oropon was cured of goat pancreas.For 5 groups sample each used 0; 0,75 ;1,5 ; 2,25 and 3 procentage of cured pancreas. For tensile strength and stretch testing used the part of croupon, shoulder and belly. Analisis static using CRD nested sample and factorial 3 × 5 and subsequently be done Tukey test. There was a real differences (P<0,01) betweem temsile strength by effects of concentration of pancreas also with it’s stretch.The best consentration can be suggested were 0,75 ; 1,5 ; 2,25 procentage. Average tensile strength for each of them were 183,2 Kg/cm2 ; 177,3 Kg/cm2 and 207,1 Kg/cm2, and the stretch wich close with the standart only on the concentration 2,25% that was 66,6%.

Abstract

Coating film in this research is defined as the product of polymerization (crosslinking) of acrylate monomers whit phenol resin directly on substrate via interaction with incide UV irradiation. A thin layer consist of phenol resin (resole or novolac), monofunctional acylate monomer (ECA), and hexafunctional acylate monomer (DPCA-60) gives the crossliked polymer under UV irradiation. In order to enhance the insoluble polymer yield, effect of alkali addition was studied. Ba(OH)2 and KOH are most effective for phenol and novolac, respectively, from the viewpoint of insoluble polymer yield. INTISARIFilm pelapis (“Coating Film”)dalam penelitian ini didefinisikan sebgai hasil polimerisasi (rantai silang) dari monomer-monomer akrilat dengan resin phenol, langsung pada substrat melaluiinsiden irradiasi sinar ultra violet. Lapisan tipis yang terbuat dari campuran resin phenol (resole atau novolak), monomer akrilat monofungsional (ECA) dan monomer akrilat hexafungsiona (DPCA-60) memberikan polimer rantaisilang dengan adanyya irradiasi sinar ultra violet (UV). Dalam hal untuk menaikkan hasil polimer yang tidak larut dalam pelarut, pengaruh alkami sebagai bahan tambahan diteliti.Ba(OH)2 merupakan alkali yang paling efektif untuk phenol resole dan KOH paling effektid untuk novoloak, dalam hal menaikkan hasil polimer yang tidak larut dalam pelarut.

Abstract

This research is an ecxperiment on the influence of reactivated temperature and time of synthetic adhesive upon peel streght on plastic shoes adhesion processes, made at synthetic leather uppers, rubber soles and used GB and PC adhesives. The upper side of shoes and sole are brushed with PC adhesive as a supporting adhesive and then continued with GB adhesive, to be aged for at least 24 hours until they become dried. Then they are reactivated at the temperature varied between 60ο C - 90 ο C with temperature interval of 10 ο C, and time varied between 10 -25 minutes with time interval of 5 minutes. They are stuck and pressed at 2.5 kg/cm2 for 2 minutes. The peel test results is calculated by statiscal method. So that the experiment result proved that the influence of heat on synthetic adhesive reactivated is to increase adhesion. Optimal peel test value was reached at the reactiveated temperature of 80 ο C and time of 15 minutes. INTISARIPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian mengeni pengaruh suhu dan waktu pengaktifan kemabali lem sintesis terhadap kekuatan rekat (peel strenght) pada proses pengesolan/pengeleman sepatu plastic, atasan kulit imitasi, sol karet, lem yang diguakan lem sintesis GB dan PC. Sepatu bagian atas dan sol doolesi lem PC (sebagai lem pembantu) kemudiajn GB, dibiarkan minimal 24 jam seampai lem menjadi kering, kemudian diaktifkan pada suhu berfariasi 60ο C - 90 ο C dengan interval 10ο C dan waktu 10-25 menit tekanan 2,5kg/cm2. Uji kuat rekat antara soal luar dengan sol dalam (peel test) dilakukan dengan alat tensile steght. Hasilnya dievaluasi secara statistic dan disimpulkan bahawa : Pegaruh pemanasan pada pengatifan kembali lem sintesis adalah meningkatkan nilai kuat rekatanya. Suhu dan waktu pengaktifan yang memberikan nilai kuat rekat tertinggi adalah suhu 80ο C waktu 15 menit.
